New air compressor stations should be equipped with oil-free lubricated air compressors to remove combustion materials from the root and prevent explosion accidents. This may be because the equipment was ordered at the time, considering that reducing the aftercooler and gas-liquid separator can reduce some funds, using compressed air without oil content and temperature restrictions, or considering that the pipeline is long, it plays a cooling role, ignoring the dangers caused by the lack of aftercoolers and gas-liquid separators.
Lubricants should be selected for air compressors in accordance with the product manual. In order to ensure the safe operation of air compressors, the requirement for lubricants is that all oil films should be temporary, that is, they are constantly evaporated and renewed. The evaporated oil should be able to quickly enter the cold zone of the compressor with the air. Therefore, it is wrong to think that it is safer to use high-lightning lubricating oil. Lightning refers to the vapor pressure formed by heating a substance under atmospheric pressure. The temperature when the lower limit concentration of ignition with an open flame is reached.
Correctly selecting the quota of oil consumption can effectively reduce the formation of oil carbon deposits. The oil consumption of oil-lubricated cylinders proposed by compressor manufacturers is too high. The oil consumption quota can be reduced through operation tests.
