Centrifugal Air Compressor Maintenance Guide

Quarterly Maintenance:

1. Check the instrument air source filter:

Drain and clean

Replace the filter element

2. Control the air source line to drain at the lowest level.

3. Check the steam trap.

Disassemble and clean

Replace if necessary

4. Apply grease to the motor bearings.

Stop the machine and apply grease using a manual grease gun.

Note the grease type and quantity.

5. Visually inspect the intake filter element. Clean and replace if necessary.

6. Check the oil mist lubricator element. Check for deformation of the old element.

Replace if necessary. When reinstalling, ensure the U-tube is lubricated.

7. The oil mist lubricator element can be used for a long time and does not need frequent replacement.

8. Check the control cabinet.

Clean the cooling fan and filter screen.

Confirm that the vibration transmitter connection is not loose.

Confirm that all terminal connections are not loose.

Semi-annual Maintenance:

1. Lubricate the air compressor coupling. Visually inspect the dry coupling.

2. Check the exhaust check valve.

3. Replace the oil filter.

4. Perform a water pressure test on the air cooler, recording the water pressure, pressure resistance time, and CTD.

5. Replace the motor (self-lubricating type) lubricating oil.

6. Sample the air compressor lubricating oil and analyze its quality.

7. Verify the control system according to the air compressor operation manual.

8. Verify the intake valve and bypass valve.

9. Repeat the quarterly maintenance procedures.

Annual Maintenance Procedures:

1. Check the motor according to the air compressor operation manual.

2. Visually inspect the coupling, check alignment, relubricate, and replace worn parts.

3. Manually rotate the large gear to check the wear of the self-lubricating bearing.

4. Check and clean the oil suction filter.

5. Check the oil cooler oil lines and clean the cooling water passages if necessary.

6. Check the internal anti-corrosion (zinc) coating of the oil cooler and redo it if necessary.

7. Check the intake valve.

8. Check the bypass valve.

9. Check the exhaust check valve.

10. Change the lubricating oil.
